What are points and how do they work?

You earn points when you play and bet online and in our Circus establishments, and they allow you to improve your player status. On this page you can find out how you can earn points, what their purpose is, and find answers to questions you might have.

What are points?

While coins are the Club currency, which allow you to purchase amazing prizes in our shop, points determine your status in the Club. Collecting points allows you to reach higher statuses. Each status brings more benefits than the previous one.

How can I earn points?

Just like coins, you earn points by playing and betting online at Circus.be, in the participating Circus Casino gaming halls or in the Grand Casino de Namur. It’s that simple! Points are earned every time you play a casino game or place a bet on a sport event. No matter if you win or lose, you still earn points. With the Circus Club, you always win!

For online casino games, you receive 1 point every time you play:

  • €10 on dice games or slot machines
  • €30 on roulette or blackjack

For online sports betting, you receive 1 point every time you bet from €1 to €10, depending on the type of bet and the odds. You can place a live, prematch, single or combination bet. Whatever you enjoy the most.

Minimum stake to earn 1 point

From 1.40 to 1.80

From 1.81 to 3.0

From 3.01 to 7.50

More than 7.51

Can I earn points by playing in Circus establishments?

Of course! The Circus Club also rewards your loyalty when you play and bet in our Circus establishments. When playing in the participating Circus Casinos and the Grand Casino de Namur, you will receive:

  • 1 point each time you bet €10 on slot machines
  • 1 point each time you bet €30 on roulette
What can I do with my points?

Points help you advance to higher statuses. The more points you have collected in your account, the higher your status. Reaching higher statuses means you unlock more benefits. For example, the higher your status, the higher the value of the prize in your monthly Gift Box.

Do I earn points every time I bet or play?

You earn points most of the time, but not always. You must bet a minimum amount of money to earn points, and this amount depends on the type of game or bet. For example:

  • You must play €10 on a dice game to receive 1 point. If you play €5 then change to another dice game (ending your session on the first game), you won’t receive any points. To collect points, you should always reach the €10 threshold in a single game. Your bets don’t accumulate on multiple games.
  • To earn 1 point with a single bet with odds from 1.40 to 1.80, you must bet at least €10. Placing two single bets with a €5 stake each, will not earn you any points.
Do I always earn the same number of points?

Yes. Although coins can sometimes be multiplied during special promotions, points are always earned at the same rate.

My points total has dropped without any reason. Is that normal?

The Circus Club rewards regular players for their loyalty. Every week, your point total is reduced by 0.7%. Continue to play and bet regularly to compensate for this decrease in points.

Where can I see my point total?

Do you want to know how many points you need to reach the next status? You can check your point total at any time by logging into your Circus account and going to the shop.

Legal limit of €500

Since 6 April, the Belgian Gaming Commission has asked players to report any site that does not respect the rules concerning the deposit limit, and specifies that “no increase in this limit can be granted at this time”.

Circus.be wishes to apply this rule, however without penalising players, as the situation is due to the Belgian Gaming Commission’s inability to set up a verification system with the Belgian Central Individual Credit Register despite the fact that a period of 18 months has elapsed since the publication of the Belgian Royal Decree on 25 October 2018.

Therefore, so as not to penalise those players who wish to do so, players that make the request and that can prove via the documents available on the Belgian Central Individual Credit Register that they are not in default of payment, will be able to increase their deposit limit beyond €500, in accordance with the Belgian Royal Decree of 25 October 2018.

In this context:

  • If you are already registered on our website and have already deactivated your “legal” limit, nothing changes for you. If you wish to do so, you way reactivate the “legal” limit on your personal settings page. To deactivate this limit again later, you must provide us with proof that you are not registered on the Belgian Central Individual Credit Register for default of payment.
  • The law imposes a deposit limit of 500 euros per week. Players can freely increase this limit given a reflection period of 3 days, and provided that the player is not known to be in default of payment in the file of the Belgian national Bank’s Central Individual Credit Register (art. 6 of the Royal Decree of 25 October 2018).
  • This can be easily done via the Deposit page or from the account settings.
  • If you have just registered on our website and you wish to deactivate your “legal” limit, you must provide us with proof that you are not registered on the Belgian Central Individual Credit Register for default of payment.
  • If you live outside the Kingdom of Belgium, you are not subject to this check. If you decide, or have decided, to deactivate the “legal” limit, you undertake in doing so to play in a responsible manner and accept that we cannot be held liable due to the fact that it is impossible for us to comply with the aforementioned Royal Decree.

You will find a link to the necessary procedure when you indicate your wish to increase your deposit limit on your personal settings page.

Furthermore, we would like to remind you that our website offers you the possibility to set personal limits per day, week or month. Once a limit is set, it can only be modified after a period of 72 hours to help you play responsibly.

We also remind you that you can exclude yourself from gaming. This can be done at our brick-and-mortar casinos, on our websites or on the website of the Belgian Gaming Commission by registering on the EPIS system.

If you wish to assess whether you have a problematic relationship with gaming, test yourself at http://www.aide-aux-joueurs.be/accueil
